Gloucestershire Carers Hub is a commissioned service which exists to improve the life of Unpaid Carers throughout the county by offering tailored advice, training, and information.


About your new role

We are looking to recruit a Health Liaison Officer Raise to raise awareness of unpaid Carers and their issues amongst the health and social care sector in order to improve their experiences. You will be working within primary, community, mental health and acute healthcare settings to promote identification of unpaid Carers as well as acting as a key point of contact for health and social care staff, promoting, and facilitating access to, the full range of services provided by Gloucestershire Carers Hub.

Some of your duties will include:

Identify and develop effective relationships with key staff in health and social care and other voluntary/ community organisations to raise their awareness of unpaid Carers and their issues to enable them to better support them.
 
Run training sessions to health and social care staff, involving Carers, to increase their awareness and improve the experience of unpaid Carers so they are recognised as a key partner in the provision of care.
 
Working with the marketing department to develop a range of promotional materials for use in health and social care to raise awareness of the support available for unpaid Carers.
 
Work with health and social care organisations to ensure our services are easily accessible to Carers in their settings
 
Work with social care champions to promote unpaid Carer identification and support
 
Be a key contact within the healthcare sector to ensure Carers views are factored into developments, this includes hosting events to link Carers to professionals both virtually and face to face.
