Cornerstone Employers
What is a Cornerstone Employer?
The Gloucestershire Cornerstone Employer group works collaboratively with the Gloucestershire Careers Hub to guide our careers strategy and operational plan, to ensure our work with schools and colleges helps to meet future workforce and skills needs. Through this work, we ensure that young people in the county are curious, informed, and inspired by the opportunities and career pathways they have available to them, to best prepare them for the world of work and higher education and beyond.
Cornerstone employers are proven champions of linking and delivering education and skills throughout the county ensuring all of our key sectors have a voice in developing our future workforce. Our cornerstone employers provide valuable leadership to like-minded businesses locally to engage with schools and colleges ensuring our young people are fully supported to understand the opportunities and pathways available to them.
Their support and wider outreach activities to promote and inspire other employers to join us is highly valued and professionally respected.
