Webinars

These hour long webinars are hosted online by a professional National Careers Service careers adviser, with expert local knowledge, who will help attendees to identify opportunities in their area. They will be on hand to provide further free and personalised careers advice for anyone needing more support. 

•    Monday 15th August - 10am: Reviewing your skills (How to recognise your transferable strengths)
•    Wednesday 17th August - 10am: Exploring careers & labour market information to support job searching
•    Monday 22nd August - 10am: How to develop a winning CV and cover letter
•    Wednesday 24th August - 10am: Perfecting your interview skills              
•    Wednesday 31st August - 10am: Accessing the hidden job market for effective job searching.

Events

We will be attending job fairs and careers events across the South West in August offering careers advice e.g. support with CV writing, job seeking and interview skills. Click on the links below for more information.

•    Wednesday 17th August: TBC: Empire Fighting Chance Mini Jobs Fair at Empire Fighting, Bristol  (Targeted at Easton area predominantly younger people about Apprenticeships)
•    Wednesday 24th August: Lockleaze Job Fair at Lockleaze Hub
•    Wednesday 24th August, 9:30 to 1pm: Careers Event at Gloucestershire College
Exam Results 2022
With exams returning this year, we want to equip parents and carers with advice to support their children. We are running a free webinar for parents/carers in the South West and Oxfordshire with a choice of two dates. Further information and booking details can be found on the links below:


Skills for life: ‘Unlock your potential’ 

This campaign aims to raise awareness among adults of the opportunities to upskill and retrain, including Skills Bootcamps, HTQs, traineeships and apprenticeships, as a way to unlock their potential to get a better job. Find out more 


Skills for life: ‘Get the Jump’ 

This campaign is aimed at 14-19 year olds and brings together all education and training choices for young people. It spotlights T Levels, apprenticeships, traineeships and higher technical qualifications, helping to increase take up and promote careers in shortage sectors. Find out more
