The  apprenticeship in BSc (Hons) in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) will enable registration as a Cardiac Physiologist on completion of the degree. Cardiac Physiology is a very rewarding career; you will be working with patients across a broad spectrum of Cardiac Diseases, undertaking diagnostic testing and providing treatments to improve their Cardiac well-being.  
The Cardiac Physiology Service provides a broad range of diagnostic tests and treatments to adult patients.

The Apprentice will be expected to complete the elements of the Healthcare Science Practitioner  (Cardiac Physiology) apprenticeship Level 6 over a 3 year timeframe. The timeframe includes:

Year 1:
Modules include an introduction to physiological sciences, the scientific basis of life and anatomy and physiology
Year 2:
Modules develop a focus on cardiac physiology and cover the professional aspects of healthcare science
Year 3:
You will undertake a healthcare science project and study professionalism practice for healthcare science.  You will also gain more advanced and in-depth training in cardiac physiology
