Green Home Grant provides Funding to train 120 new Retrofit Coordinators

The Retrofit Academy has been awarded funding under the Green Home Grant (GHG) Skills Training Competition to train 120 new Retrofit Coordinators.

Training Retrofit Coordinators

The initiative aims to support the capacity building required to deliver PAS 2035 projects through the GHG and to support job creation. The Retrofit Academy is working with the West Midlands Combined Authority, Greater London Authority, Devon Council, Manchester City Council and others to identify and recruit eligible learners.

This programme is aimed at:

Those not currently in education, employment or training who meet the course Eligibility Criteria. You may be under-employed or unemployed. For example, you may only have enough work to fill 50% of your available time at present.
Those working in the public sector or third sector who will be offering a Retrofit Coordinator service commercially
Existing built environment professionals such as architects, surveyors and construction managers who wish to practice as a Retrofit Coordinator and/or Designer as their main occupation.
The programme is only open to those committed to practice as a TrustMark-accredited Retrofit Coordinator within the next 12 months.

The application deadline for this programme has been extended to 10th January 2021. To apply, please visit 

 Level 3 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit (UDR).

This online course provides an induction to whole house retrofit for new people coming into the sector, but will also be available to existing installers who would benefit from training in this area.
